E-mobility, decentralized power generation and renewable energies – for some years now, the energy industry has been undergoing a decisive transformation. Digitization is giving rise to new business models that significantly change the role of energy operators, among other things. One of the major challenges for the industry is to overhaul the traditional business model and to introduce new activities.
In the upcoming years, electric mobility will closely connect the automotive, energy and software industries. In addition to the production of e-mobiles, the charging systems and charging infrastructure will become just as important topics as the invoicing of charging processes.
In order to save time and money, it is worthwhile to automate the billing and invoicing processes for e-mobility. With innovative software like JustOn Billing & Invoice Management, you can easily map different pricing models and invoice them automatically.
Since January 2019, we have been working with four strong academic and business partners to develop an innovative business and service model for optimizing and billing charging processes in public car parks.
The joint research and development project focuses on the question: What functions must a software system offer in order to charge vehicles effectively, to invoice charging processes automatically, and to avoid completely overloading electricity grids during peak times?
